If I remember correctly, it zooms out from where he is to the whole earth, then the "universe" which is all just a map belonging to the "supreme being" who just rolls it up. Then, after this long magical journey, his parents die and the fireman/King Agamemnon (the guy who got him started on the whole journey) just smiles and drives away. The kid has just gone on this long journey and learned all this crazy weird stuff about how the universe works, the constant ridiculous battle raging behind the scenes that in many ways makes no sense. I also think it's actually a kind of statement about the indifference the universe or "god". Also, their death from the rock connects all the stuff that just happened with reality, it shows that it wasn't necessarily just a dream or hallucination. Therefore, this episode takes place on the Thursday and Friday of a month that both begins on a Sunday and follows a 31-day month that began on a Thursday. Both this bottom row and Rebecca's own calendars seen in her apartment indicate that the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of this episode fall on the 5th, 6th, and 7th of the month. A young boy accidentally joins a band of time travelling dwarves, as they jump from era to era looking for treasure to steal. However, based on which dates she has marked on the calendar as past dates on which she had done favors for Baloo, the month seen on her calendar is actually the month preceding the one in which this episode takes place, with the first week of the current month being visible in the very bottom row of her calendar. 1981, Time Bandits, Feature Films, Fantasy, Comedy.
